As a lifelong New Englander and mom of two (now grown), I’ve spent decades exploring Boston’s neighborhoods, attractions, and hidden gems with my family. Many of the spots on this ultimate bucket list are local favorites we returned to again and again — from cheering at Fenway to devouring cannoli in the North End.

6. Best Time to Visit
May - June and September - October for ideal weather and fewer crowds. *April can a be hit or miss month, BUT you'll get a chance to experience Marathon Monday, Patriot's Day re-enactments and the amazing Hanging Nasturtiums at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
7. Number of Days to Explore
We recommend 4–5 days to enjoy Boston's top family experiences at a relaxed pace. So much to see and do and it's an extremely walkable city.
