🚶‍♀️ Open Newbury Street: 2025 Car-Free Sundays in BostonOpen Newbury Street is back for 2025! On select Sundays this summer and fall, Newbury Street closes to vehicle traffic and opens up to pedestrians, creating a car-free corridor through one of Boston’s most iconic shopping and dining districts.
Stroll, shop, dine, and enjoy live music, sidewalk sales, and people-watching along this historic Back Bay thoroughfare—from Berkeley Street to Massachusetts Avenue.

đźš§ Street Closures
From Berkeley Street to Massachusetts Avenue, all vehicle traffic (including parking) is prohibited from 10:00am to 8:00pm. The street is open to pedestrians from 12:00pm to 8:00pm.
Parking will once again be restricted on Newbury Street and adjacent streets with enforcement beginning at 5:00 a.m., and signs will be posted informing drivers of the change.
What to Expect:
Al fresco dining spots, live music, local artisans, sidewalk sales, people-watching galore, and even fresh-squeezed lemonade stands! It’s a perfect day out for locals and visitors alike.
