Join Boston Harbor Now on the waterfront for a dazzling celebration of Boston Harbor and the waterfront neighborhoods on Thursday, August 29th. Explore the city's beautiful Harborwalk and waterfront public park spaces and stay for a breathtaking fireworks show starting at 8:30PM. This event is free and open to the public.
Fireworks can be viewed from anywhere on the waterfront but suggested public viewing locations along the Boston Harborwalk include:
- Christopher Columbus Park, North End
- Piers Park, East Boston
- Fan Pier, Seaport District
Join us before the show at Christopher Columbus Park for live music: Pack a picnic and join us for a late summer concert at Christopher Columbus Park to celebrate the return of Illuminate the Harbor.

Berklee Summer in the City - Last Minute
7:00 - 8:00 pm at Christopher Columbus Park
Last Minute is a group that specializes in bringing a new twist to classic hits. Featuring songs by artists such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and even Miley Cyrus.
Their repertoire has something for everyone to enjoy, and they are always excited to show you what they’ve been working on.
This special end-of-summer display invites everyone down to Boston’s waterfront to experience the wonder of Boston Harbor illuminated after dark with a colorful fireworks show.
The waterfront and harbor are treasures that belong to everyone, and we take pride in the diverse communities and public resources that make up our city’s waterfront.
