Sparkling lights, themed holiday trees, and whimsical model trains transform the Garden at Elm Bank in Wellesley, just 18 miles from downtown Boston, for the Massachusetts Horticultural Society's 18th Annual Festival of Trees, 11/25 to 12/28/2026.More than 18,000 guests make this festival part of their holiday tradition each year. Advance tickets are required, so plan ahead and book your visit early.
Local organizations and families donate dozens of trees, each decorated in its own creative theme, from classic holiday styles to playful designs. Enter the raffle for a chance to take your favorite tree home at the end of the festival.
Outdoors, holiday lightscapes and magical displays show off the Garden at Elm Bank in a whole new light, with plenty of perfect photo opportunities along the way.
Inside Snow Village, model trains wend their way through miniature villages and vignettes, including Christmas in Boston, Fenway Park, and the North Pole, surrounded by hundreds of decorated houses and twinkling lights. With too many Santas to count and skaters galore, Snow Village is a visual treat for young and old alike.
Hot cocoa on arrival and marshmallow roasting for s'mores by the firepits are both included with your ticket. Raffle tickets for the trees are sold separately onsite.
