5-starWow What an amazing day
OMG! We have been members of the Audubon Society for several years, and we go to Drumlin Farm often. This is the first time we have gone to this sap to syrup breakfast and all I can say is OMG! We got there early so we walked around the grounds. The staff was super nice, from parking staff to event staff. There were baby animals everywhere too! We were privileged to witness the birth of a baby goat and my 7 year old was literally in heaven! We walked to the area where the sap was boiled and there were knowledgeable and friendly staff explaining everything, from what kind of trees are sugar maples (what do they look like, their leaves, etc.) to how the sap is boiled and even providing a little taste of the boiling, almost-syrup. We then walked over to the breakfast and it was amazing! Super delicious, my picky eaters ate every yummy bite, and the staff was fabulous there too! Nothing but smiles and assistance from everyone. We then left happy and full to head over to the sugar maple tapping area, and a wonderful staff member explained the process and let us put our finger under the tap for a taste of a drop. What a wonderful day! I have taken my children to several area events featuring the sap-to-syrup process, but this one far exceeded any expectations and any other event by miles. Go to this..it's worth every penny, and it is such a fun time for all!
