🎬 MIT Open Space Programming: Summer Movie Nights (2026)
Presented in partnership with The Brattle Theatre
Grab a blanket or lawn chair and settle in for a summer of free outdoor movie nights at the Kendall/MIT Open Space. This year's lineup runs every Friday at 6:30pm from July 10 through August 28, alternating between two themes.
The Animated Animals series brings family friendly favorites like Fantastic Mr. Fox, Space Jam, Chicken Run, and Ghost Cat Anzu to the big screen for younger audiences.
The Movies on the Road series features a road trip themed lineup of classics, including The Muppet Movie, It Happened One Night, The Straight Story, and The Wiz.
The series is free and open to all ages, rain or shine plans permitting. Bring a blanket, lawn chair, and maybe some snacks for a relaxed evening under the stars in the heart of Kendall Square.
