The Chinatown Main Street Festival will return in September 13, 2025. The Mid-Autumn Festival also known as Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, is a traditional festival celebrated by many East and Southeast Asian people.
It is the second-most important holiday after Chinese New Year with a history dating back 3,000 years, when China’s emperors worshipped the moon for bountiful harvests.
Join us in Chinatown for this fun and festive event - admission is FREE!
The 2025 Boston Chinatown Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM in Auntie Kay and Uncle Chin Park.
The free event will feature food vendors, street shops, live performances including lion dancing, Taekwondo, and opera singing, as well as Taichi and other cultural activities.
Enjoy martial arts, Asian dance and crafts, and health booths are among the attractions at this celebration of Boston’s Chinatown.
