Join ACDC and the Chinatown community for our 17th annual Films at the Gate Festival! As always, the festival is free and open to community members of all ages and backgrounds! Films at the Gate revives the tradition of old Chinatown movie theaters and brings community members of all ages and backgrounds together at the historic Chinatown Gate.
This 3-day festival begins tonight, August 26, through August 28 from 5:30p-9:30p each night.
Celebrate the Chinatown community and enjoy live performances and Kung Fu and classic Chinese films!
Each of the three nights of film showings includes a live performance, two short films, and the main feature. Films at the Gate (FATG) will begin at 5:30pm everyday with games and food, followed by performances and films.
5:30PM Games and activities for families
6:00 PM Performances & martial arts demonstrations
7:30PM Welcome program
8:00PM Main feature (timing dependent on sunset for optimal viewing)
The classic films are action-packed with kung fu scenes and are accompanied by English-subtitles.
Grab a take-out dinner in Chinatown and bring your folding chairs so you can enjoy your Films at the Gate experience!
