decordova sculpture park and museum photoStarting March 13, 2023, indoor exhibitions will be temporarily suspended at the Museum to allow for important upgrades to the building. The Sculpture Park remains open, and no other facilities, programs, events, or activities are affected.

The temporary suspension follows an in-depth evaluation of building facilities, begun in anticipation of our 2026 reaccreditation. It recently revealed a need to upgrade our HVAC and climate control systems to ensure that our indoor exhibition spaces meet The Trustees’ and the museum industry’s stringent standards. The process is expected to take two to three years, with anticipated re-opening in 2025-2026.

deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum is a popular site for families and picnickers. The Museum houses rotating exhibitions of contemporary art.

The Sculpture Park contains beautifully landscaped lawns, forests, fields, gardens, and terraces on a rolling site along the shore of Flint’s Pond; at any given time, approximately 65 sculptures are on display. Climbing is not permitted.
