Join Doria Hughes for our pre-school story hour every Wednesday at 11 a.m. Doria is a dynamic storyteller and a big believer in sound effects. If it makes a noise, Doria will bring it to life.

Doria Hughes is a wonderful storyteller and totally engages her audience. She reads at Porter Square Books for an hour and selects books with her audience in mind.

About Doria
Ever since I was a very small child, I have read and loved stories of every kind. Now, I delight in sharing them with children of all ages! Dragons, warriors, queens, tricksters, thunder gods, and animals of every variety - these are the creatures who inhabit the stories I tell.

I am a big believer in sound effects: if life doesn't provide enough of them, than I will! Cows, turkeys, donkeys, giants, monkeys, babies, leprechauns.... you name it, I'll make it come to life!! You can be sure we'll all have a rollicking good time, as we read our way through a wonderful assortment of children's books, snorting and honking as we go!
